Our next big event is Night of the Cane. Our celebration of Corporal Punishment takes place on

Chats Palace will echo to the swish and crack of countless canes teaching severe lessons to those who really deserve them. The evening will include School Classes. Boxing Ring. Annual Caning Competition with celebrity judges. Teaching Workshops. And something delicious and Indonesian to keep everyone's strength up. (Indonesia is where cane comes from).

Tickets £20 from Zeitgeist, Holloway Road; if you can't get to any of them, you can send a cheque payable to Ishmael Skyes to 13 Riddlesdale Avenue, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN4 9AB; the time to buy is now, not (if you can avoid so doing) on the night, because then we will charge you more money, and there are only 230 tickets for sale. Night of the Cane will begin at 7.00pm and close at 1am. Dresscode: Leather, rubber, PVC, academic, uniform, TV, evening dress. We could do with some maids for NOTC, so if you enjoy being a maid, contact The Firm.

General Communiqué - Sept - 2008

Opinion has been raised that all the stuff about new swingeing anti-porn legislation restricting the freedoms of many people is just scare-mongering and that here is no longer any need for The Scene to stick together (there's no such thing as society after all), so all those that want to discriminate against people that switch, or people that are too old (making both synonymous with 'Mudblood'), might as well get on with it. If the government aren't really going to ruin the SM community, let's please not do it ourselves instead!
Phoenix School is at the Purple Turtle in Camden on Saturdays; 30th August, 27th September, 25th October, 22nd November, 20th December starting at 12 md.

Anita is organising a school event called St Audries At Ooze, and it will be held in Bedford Town centre close to the railway station and off street parking. It takes place once a month, welcoming pupils of any gender, real or chosen. Discrimination or prejudice will not be tolerated; offenders will be asked to leave.
The event is in two halves; first a DAY SCHOOL with strict rules regarding behaviour, uniform, standard of work etc, between 12:00 and 6pm. Doors open at 11:00 to allow for changing; Assembly 12 md sharp. No later admission, without prior permission. Numbers are limited, please book with deposit in advance. NIGHT SCHOOL is from 7pm until 1am and is a more relaxed fun school with fun lessons and Disco and a more relaxed dress policy (Although school/teacher uniform is mandatory). This is open to all, and those who have attended the day school are given automatic entry.
Cost of both events is £15.00, to include dinner. Thos attending day school are given free automatic entry into the night school (to wind down)
